Casa de cultură din Sâncraiu

House of Culture in Sâncraiu, centrally located on a triangular site with pine trees, is conceived as a cultural and urban landmark for the community.

The building reinterprets two vernacular typologies — the “barn” and the “house” — organizing the program into distinct volumes: the western wing accommodates a multifunctional performance hall with a mezzanine, while the eastern wing and the central volume include changing rooms, a library, offices, classrooms, sports areas, and spaces for educational workshops.

The fragmented massing and tall roofs reduce the perceived scale, while the façades alternate between solid and glazed surfaces, drawing from traditional architecture.
